I'm assuming there is an old copy or some copy of the photos. Now my internal hard drive is showing the correct space! So what I did is, I created a new photo library and stored that directly on my external hard drive. Looked for hours on a solution and at one point I thought, maybe the link to the photo library that I moved to my external drive is somehow still with the internal hard drive.
